Free Pattern Phursday - Eight
Number Eight! I have done this for eight weeks now - will wonders never cease. Today's pattern is my go to mindless knitting. I love knitting with kid mohair and silk, so just knitting one of these scarves is such a treat for me.
Materials
SRK Ovation Kid Mohair and Silk 1 skein 200 m per skein (two if you want to make it longer)
SRK Ovation Kid Mohair and Silk 1 skein 200 m per skein (two if you want to make it longer)
Misti Baby Alpaca, 1 skein 400m
5mm needles
Gauge: 5 sts per inch in pattern st.
Size: When finished and laid out flat, the piece measures 7 in. wide and 70 in. long.
Directions
Using 1 strand of each yarn held together, cast on 36 sts. Begin pattern. Pattern is a multiple of 12 sts.
Row 1: (RS) knit.
Row 2: purl.
Row 3: *(k2tog) 2 times, (yo, k1) 4 times, (k2tog) 2 times* rep between *s to end.
Row 4: knit.
Repeat rows 1-4 until scarf is 60 inches long or desired length.
End with row 4 of pattern, and then bind off knitwise.
Weave in ends and block.

Any laceweight yarn can be substitued for the Baby Alpaca, and Rowan Kid Silk Haze, or Madil Kid Seta are good subs for the Ovation.
