Parking lot saga continues
So, last month we got that brand new paved parking lot. You know, the one with the built in duck pond outside the yarn shop. Mr Knits wasn't too happy about the duck pond, so he called the pavers and they agreed. the duck pond had to go. Last week they came and dug up over half the lot to make the adjustments, then they put in wooden spikes so we wouldn't/couldn't drive over the grading work they had done.
Today they came back to pave. And didn't bring enough asphalt! So as of this writing - 4:25 pm there are about 6 workers waiting for a second load of asphalt, and they have been waiting since 2:30 or so.

Not exactly what they wanted to have happen... |
You see, the truck had to go to Belleville to get more - and that's an hour drive each way for me. And I speed. A lot. Maybe the work will get done today, maybe not. In any case, the paving company - Wil Mac - have been fabulous throughout this whole process. They have always shown up when they said they were going to, and fixed what wasn't right without argument or excuse. I recommend them heartily.
Edited to add - the asphalt truck has just arrived at 4:47 pm! Yippee!
