Knitting Literature

Today or I guess yesterday if you want to be precise as it is after midnight, Betty D and I went for a little retail therapy in the US. Ollies, Big Lots, Target, Sally's Beauty Supply, Panera, Big Lots (again) and then home. We had so much fun, the border guards both ways were nice and friendly. However, we didn't see anyone getting their car seized (but one 30-something couple was having their car searched at the Canadian border). Best of all we didn't have to go in and pay any taxes or duties. And yes, we did declare what we were bringing back.

We both picked up several Christmas presents, and I finally got a copy of a book I have wanted to read for a few years now - Drunk, Divorced & Covered With Cat Hair. Kinda sounds like me, doesn't it? At least the covered with cat hair part. Laurie Perry, the author, has a blog by the name Crazy Aunt Purl that I have been following for years, and I am so delighted I found the book at Ollies. Funny thing, someone else had found it first, and decided not to buy it and put it down on a shelf in the Christmas ornament aisle. So thank you goes out to that person as I wouldn't have even thought to look for the book.

After reading just 50 pages, I'm hooked - it looks like I'll be under the covers reading the book by flashlight. Hope my giggles don't wake up Mr Knits.
