Non Co-operation
It would seem that my dust rag, glass cleaner and my vacuum are not working properly. I put them out in the shop on Friday, and left them there for four entire days. When I arrived back to work yesterday, they hadn't moved. They all just sat there and did nothing. Not. A. Single. Thing. I had gaven them explicit instructions on what to do. I wrote all down so there would be no misunderstandings. Here's the little list:
Nothing has happened. The shop is still a mess. I even cleared off the cash desk to make it easier for the duster and cleaner to spray and wipe. My major concern is I am completely occupied with working here all day and knitting all night. I simply do not have time to manage the cleaning around the shop too. The cleaning implements and supplies are supposed to clean, aren't they? That's what the commercials and print ads say.
I'm thinking they're on strike. No, I did not receive any strike notice from them. No pay demands, no extra vacation days, nothing. No picket lines. They just refuse to cooperate.
- Vacuum the carpet in the yarn shop;
- clean the windows and all the hard surfaces with the Bon Ami;
- vacuum the washroom;
- scrub the sink and toilet; and finally,
- wash the washroom floor.

I even plugged the vacuum in! |

I would also like to point out at this time my self-cleaning oven is not self cleaning. I have to press the "clean" button, input the time and then I have to wait at least three hours! The house may or may not fill up with smoke, causing me to have to open the windows to air the place out. Which is a total waste of heat in the winter.Then I have to wipe the ash residue out and polish the inside of the glass window. It's not like I can say, "Go clean yourself." and the oven will do it. (Not that I ever could tell my kids that and they would go clean their rooms. But that's another issue.)
After that's done, I have to clean the WHOLE ENTIRE OUTSIDE OF THE RANGE yourself. Since I've done all that, I figure I may as well move the stove out and sweep and wash the floor underneath.
Cleaning tools? It's all false advertising, I tell you. I ought to write my Member of Parliament a letter advising him of this problem. Perhaps Consumers and Corporate Affairs would be interested in this too. I'll keep you posted on developments as they happen. We've got to take a stand against this once and for all.
