Clean sweep!
Today, I will be continuing the great yarn toss. You see, I always save the half and quarter balls of yarns left over from various projects. The dark shelves of my storeroom must encourage them to breed. Some of the yarns, I don't even remember!
Yesterday, my co-op student and I started sorting and tossing. All the yarn that I felt I was going to use I have kept. She took some, some is going to charity, some to Goodwill, and some to the dump.A total of 9 pairs of shoes and sandals, and two pairs of boots were unearthed too. They're going home.
The weird thing is though, we had emptied 6 shelves, filled 3 garbage bags, 1 recycling bag, 3 donation bags, and when we started putting stuff away 5 of the empty shelves are full again! How can that be? Was it reproducing as it was exposed to daylight?
Soon, the shelves will be organized, and labelled. The challenge is to keep them that way!

This is most of the clean up - missing one garbage bag and one donation bag. |
