Clip Joint

I was supposed to go to the states on Friday to pick up my order - but one of the boxes is not going to arrive until tomorrow (Monday), so I had to do a bit of scrambling to change other arrangements. You see, our little Emma needed to go to the spa and get her first ever summer do. She had gotten a little matted behind the ears and on the back of her legs, so it just had to be done.

Here she is before the scalping

And here's what she looks like now:

Apparently, even she is not happy with the outcome. Mr Knits and I can't wait for her fur to grow back - at least around her ears. We're sure she will be more comfortable this summer without all the extra insulation, and taking her swimming will be easier on all of us as she doesn't really like to be dried off and brushed. She came back from the groomers with a little pink bow on her right ear, too. First of all, pink is not her colour, and secondly, anyone who knows Emma knows that she is a sporty dog, not a sissy dog and bows just aren't her thing.

For some obligatory knitting content - there is another Cloud on the horizon. I'm almost to the sleeve casting off on my second Cloud. This time I'm using Saphira from SWTC - it's a lovely soft superwash merino in a pink mauve and white colourway. I'm really liking it. It'll take two skeins of this yarn to complete the little bolero. I have about 15 colourways of Saphira and it sells for $8.95 per 100 gram skein, so the total cost for this one is under $20.

With the HST introduction happening this Thursday, I'd better figure out how to reprogram my cash registers. If you're on my email list, look for one today or tomorrow with information on the "Wrapping Your Head Around Wrapped Stitches" class being held this coming Saturday, July 3 at 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
