Choices - too many choices

This morning I was going over some literature I received at TNNA, and came across the promo for Vogue Knitting Live - a 3 day fibre fest in New York City. linky loo here Vogue Knitting LIVE from New York!

Billed as "The Ultimate Knitting EVENT from the Ultimate Knitting Magazine."  Featuring fashion shows, classes, shopping, and best of all its location in New York City, my most favourite city in the world.

So I want to go to it - and to the winter TNNA show in San Diego, which is also held in January. So, here's my thought process...

The pros of the Vogue Knitting Show over the Winter TNNA show are:
  1. I can drive to NYC in about 8 hours
  2. I can bring home so much more stuff in a car than overhead plane storage
  3. I love New York
  4. I love Vogue Knitting
  5. There will be lots of time for shopping and I like shopping
  6. I'm pretty sure this would count as a business expense
  7. I could go back to Macy's on 34th Street and to Purl Soho and to School Products to get me some cashmere on cones
The cons are:
  1. Hotels are more money in NYC
  2. The weather might be iffy
So, I suppose you can see what direction I am leaning towards...if any of you out there would like to come with me, let me know. I'm looking into hotel costs right now, and January isn't really high tourist time in NY and the rates aren't all that bad. With three or four to a room, they are downright affordable!

I'll keep you posted of any updates. Can anyone say, "Roadtrip!"?
