The mitten I mean, not the beer. I was up really early this morning, and was doing a bit of surfing when somehow I came across this beer mitten. It was really difficult not to burst out laughing at 5:00 am. You know the kind of laughter I mean. The delighted laughter of finding just the right gift to make someone else laugh. Most of the men in my life like to crack open a cold one once in a while, and this might just make a good little present for them.

I did a bit of reverse engineering, changed the yarn weight and have begun knitting with the left over Manos del Uruguay from the Bearded Hat. Although it is just a mitten with a tube, I am anticipating some ripping out as I attempt to perfect this novelty item and as such I am keeping very careful track my progress.

Let's hope I can find some quiet knitting time between customers today and tomorrow. I really want this to be under the tree on Sunday and there isn't a lot of time to knit and reknit.
