Scratch that off my bucket list!
Not that it was on my bucket list, but it's good to know that I can say I've experienced it. Kind of.
It all happened on Saturday. I got an email from a friend I hadn't heard from in a while, and all the email said was "Check out this link. I know you'll like it. Love "my friend's name". I was so happy to hear from her, I clicked on the link right away. Was I surprised to see the result? Yup!
It was porn. Honest to goodness porn. On my computer! I have never seen a porn flick (until now) and I'm pretty sure I don't need to see another one. I couldn't believe that people actually "do it" while someone else is filming them. Then they put it out on the interwebs for everyone to see. Of course, I had to watch the whole 3 minute clip. It actually got boring, and the music was quite cheesy.
But I learned something from the experience. No - not about "doing it", but to hover my cursor over the sender's name to check the email address to ensure it is the one that I know belongs to the sender. Before opening the email! In this case, it was my friend's name, and a Russian email address. I know better...I was just so happy to hear from her that I didn't check.
I don't know if you've noticed, but if you click on an advertisement, google remembers, so the next time you visit a website with advertising, similar ads come up for the last few products you've looked at. Mostly, I get to shoe and yarn ads. (That tells you something, doesn't it?)
Guess what I'm getting in the ads now. And it's not shoes and yarn.
