I love evrything Noro

As a fan of Noro yarns, primarily for the colours, I was pleased to see the pin about Noro on Pinterest. On the Noro website there is a 27 page booklet "From Farm to Product"  that is downloadable that explains all the steps in manufacturing Noro yarns - right to where the fibres are sourced. It is a 12 meg file, so be patient when downloading if you're out in the boonies like we are.

Yarns samples for colour combination selection
I was amazed to see how the fibres were mixed, readied for dyeing, and how they choose colour combinations (see photo above). I used to think that Noro yarns were on the expensive side, but once I saw how much human interaction takes place in the manufacture, I think the yarns are a bargain!

I hope you get a chance to download and look through the booklet. It has made me even more of a Noro girl than I was before.

I'm just heading out the door to celebrate Christmas with my sons and their families. And maybe, just maybe, do a bit of Boxing Day shopping.
