Customer Appreciation Sale and Fashion Show Update

Last week I alluded to a Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday December 12th - here are more details to entice you. Refreshments will be served from noon until 3 pm, but all day there will be in store specials and the "Saving Tree".

Inside each of the little parcels on the tree is a card that tells you what your discount is. Some of the parcels have bonus cards that save you 75% on a specified yarn or needle or notion. I can tell you that the smallest discount is 20% off your purchase. When you're ready to check out, you choose your "present", open it, and discover your savings. The bonus purchase is rung is in separately as no further discounts are allowed on it.

There is also a draw for a child's fair isle sweater kit - for every $20 you spend, you get a ticket for the draw.

While I was setting up the tree today, I had a little help from Purrl. She first inspected the tree (from the inside out) to ensure it was safe for all the little packages.

Then, upon knocking it over, thought it was a great resting spot. The ribbons that are to be tied upon the parcels are also good fun to play with. So are the little boxes.

Once the tree was righted again, back inside she went. Thankfully, the tree no longer holds any appeal to this ADHD stricken kitty, and playing inside baskets seems to be more fun.

It's no wonder Mr Knits calls her the Monster Kitty!

At the fashion shows last week, we collected donations for the food bank. Here's what I was hoping for from the two shows:

It filled four boxes - and the volunteers car trunk when it was picked up. She was so thrilled with the amount of food collected, and kept saying thank you. In all it was over 110 pounds of food! Thank you everyone who attended. We're working on the show for Feb 13th already - I have one distributor lined up who is very eager to participate. As previously mentioned, donations for the Napanee Animal Shelter will be the price of admission. Stay tuned for updates.
