Let no good deed go unpunished!
This morning I was all warm and fuzzy about how wonderful and generous knitters are in general and in particular the ladies who attended the two fashion shows last week. And then this!
One of the Saturday ladies called to let me know in no uncertain terms that the draws for the door prizes weren't fair. She said the Thursday group had two chances to win the big prize. I explained both groups had an equal chances to win the prize. Thursday's group only had one chance to win the big prize (we're talking 2 balls of Northern Chunky and two balls of Marble Chunky here). She still insisted that wasn't correct. I explained patiently that there were 5 prizes - there was a draw on Thursday for two prizes and a draw on Saturday for two door prizes. Then I combined all the names from both shows and drew a winner. The first winner was from Saturday, but she declined to take a second prize.
So we drew again. And the next name drawn was from from the Thursday group. End of the draws. Enter Ms. Sourgrapes. It wasn't enough she got a fashion show, a grab bag containing sock yarn and needles worth over $16 and 10% off her Kertzer purchase. She wasn't happy about the draw. She still didn't think it was fair Thursday's names were put in with Saturday's names.
Crap! Makes me wonder why I do these events.
