New Blog Background
Every once in a while, I change the blog's background. I have to say that the one that is there now is my all time favourite. It's such a promise of spring, and warm days to come.
Speaking of spring, the birds are back...you should hear them all singing in our forest. What a lovely sound! Not being much of a bird call identifier (or whatever it's called) I don't recognize too many of them. But the redwing blackbirds are back and singing up a storm. I am more thrilled to hear them than I am to hear the robin's call. The redwing blackbird's screech means "Spring has really arrived!" to me.

Unfortunately, that wonderful screech also means the black flies will be arriving soon too. The joys of living north of seven! I really must enlist Mr Knits help in finishing my photo essay of the differences between the real world (aka big city life) and north of seven. I've been talking about it for years now, it's time to get it done.
