New stuff in
The Purolator man came today and brought me a box from Stonehouse Publishing....here's what was inside:
Interweave Knits Accessories Special Issue, 2009 with over 60 scarf, hat, socks and mitten projects. One of the best articles, in my opinion is "The Grand Plan Mitten Chart" which is a one page chart that gives you a mitten pattern in 4 gauges and 6 sizes (from small childs to large adult). There is also a good tutorial on sock making and some really nice sock patterns. It's well worth its price of $14.95.
The new issue of Piecework is here too. It has a selection of needlecrat patterns - cross stitch, rochet, knitting, and a tutorial on broomstick lace. The Orenbugh Scarf knitting pattern is one I have wanted to knit for some time - perhaps I'll finally get to it. I really like this sock pattern too.
And, last but certainly not least, some more copies of the best selling "Hip Knit Hats" by Cathy Caron have finally arrived. They have been on backorder since July. I love this book. Many different hat designs, all made from chunky and bulky yarns so they are quick knits.Makes them great for holiday gift giving.
I'm not sure if I mentioned this special issue of Interweave Knits "Holiday Gifts" ...it's got lots of good project too.
Here's some of my favourites -

Bit Of Colour Corsage
