They're here!

The addi Clicks have arrived finally. And the wait was definitely worth it. This interchangeable knitting needle set must be seen and tried to appreciate just how wonderful it is. The new crystal blue cables are supple and unkink quickly. Joining the needle tips to the cables is as easy as a quick push and twist. The set comes with 10 needle tip sets (from 3.5mm to 10mm) and 3 cables (24, 32 and 40") lengths and one joiner all in an attractive case. Well, the case might be a bit too big for my liking, but you certainly won't be able to lose it in your knitting bag. Nuff said about the addis.

Knitting this week at the shop will bring a surprise to the regular knitters. The Mister and I have been making some changes to our meeting room. We now have a kitchen area that is open to the meeting/lesson room area, and we have moved most of the music instruments out of the lesson room itself. It gives us a lot more room to gather and chat. The room, however, is in desperate need of decorating, thus I am making a trip to Belleville early tomorrow morning to get some wallpaper, trim and paint and the try to get back to the store before 10:00 am. Having this area set up will make it so much more convenient for dyeing workshops, and serving refreshments. We are also talking about open a tea and coffee shop in the store. Talking I said, just talking! But it has been a dream of mine for several years now to make tea, coffee and goodies available to our customers, and it is within reach now.

This week in the shop there are just two knitting related activities to report on - Thursday afternoon knitting from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and Friday morning Toe Up sock class from 10:00 am until noon.

As far as my personal knitting adventures, I am finishing the second Whisper Lace sock in Classic Alpaca Sox. This sock pattern was a challenge to me and I can't figure out why, but it took me a sock and a half until I figured out the lace pattern. And, darn it all, as I type this, I realize I didn't figure out the pattern, and have to rip out about 1.5 inches as I didn't do the cuff pattern correct! I have ripped out so many rounds of this sock, and it's not because the pattern is poorly written, it's because I'm just not getting it!

See you all soon! I've got some frogging to do now. :-(
