I can't wait!
That seems to be my life right now....so much going on, so much excitement! First, my youngest son is getting married next week - Wednesday April 1 to be exact. So while the hubbin and I won't be here, the shop will be open. We have a wonderful lady in town who can manage both shops for us and another wonderful friend who is going to look after our pets. I finally was able to purchase a lovely dress for the event, so that monkey is off my back. Now to find the perfect shoes, but I have a few days in Toronto before the wedding to do that. I found the dress at Stanley's in Belleville (just north of Walmart on Highway 62). It's a great shop to visit as they always have well made clothes at great prices. They are open most nights and Sunday's too.
This morning, I was speaking to one of my favourite suppliers - Tracy at Tilli Tomas - and she is sending me a boxload or two of yarn that should arrive here before April 15th. Some of the yarn is my regular stocking order of Discolights and Beaded Lace, but the rest is a surprise! All of the surprise yarns will go into a special sale bin. There will be some 100% merino, some chunky raw silk, some milk by product yarn, and more. The colour selection will be limited, but all of Tilli Tomas' colours are beautiful. And of course, one could always overdye the yarn. You know how I love to do that.
I have an order of overdyed yarn drying on the rack outside as I type this.
And, just a reminder for the dyers coming on Saturday, wear old clothes, bring something to munch on as you may get hungry, and the equipment you need to bring is:

- a crockpot that will never ever be used for food again
- a wooden spoon
- some tongs
- rubber gloves (if you have some)
- an apron (if you want)
- a notebook & pen
The yarn, dye, dust mask and other essentials will be supplied. I simply can't wait to share the fun of dyeing yarn with you.
Lastly, here's a photo of one of the tea cosies created by Lee, from New Jersey, who took part in February's Entrelac class.
Lee used James C Brett's Marble Chunky yarn in the Wild Field's colourway. So pretty. And it fit very nicely on my teapot! Great work, Lee.
Talk to you all soon.
