I get the joke....

But it just isn't funny! I know people think the Knits household is comprised of two crazy cat people, but really!

Yesterday, I took Ella, formerly known as Kitty Mama, to the Kingston Napanee Spay Neuter clinic, to permanently close down the baby factory. When I picked her up, she was a little woozy and her throat must have been sore as she couldn't talk. Usually she is quite the talker, but all she could do was open her mouth, with no sound coming out. Around midnight, I thought her voice had come back as I could hear little tiny mews from the front porch. Being the selfish person I am, I decided to stay in bed, hoping she was okay and just lonely.

At 5 am, I just couldn't stand to hear her meow any longer, so I went out to check. Ella was fine, but the mewing didn't stop. There was a teeny tiny kitten out there in the dark! I called for it a few times, and after just a few seconds it ran into the front porch.

This little soul is about 8 weeks old and had been tossed from a car - evidenced by the abrasions on its face and ear. On her lower lip, there is even still some gravel inbedded!

we've named her (?) Katie-Kat for now - but it just might be a boy!

I suppose our reputation of saving kitties is getting around, but we really cannot keep another one. So, here I go again - if you know someone who needs a sweet, very cuddly little kitty, I know where you can find one!
