It's all about the cat!

It seems my life revolves around our cats Stinky and Purrl. If we're not breaking up pseudo fights that might progress into the real thing, we're handing out Temptation cat treats, or requesting the dogs leave the cats alone. But the best part of my day is spent keeping Purrl out of trouble. An 8 month old kitten is a handful.

Today, just after we got to work, we noticed Purrl wasn't in her usual perches, so we started looking for her. Water is her current obsession, so first we checked the kitchen and then the washroom. And there she was - filling the toilet with toilet paper!

She somehow figured out how to unroll the paper and put it into the bowl! We caught her with the bowl full of sodden tissue! The pic isn't very sharp, but you can still see all the paper in the bowl.

Figuring it might scare her enough to stay away from her newest plaything, we flushed it while she was still head down in it. Nope, she thought that was cool. Cleverly, we put the lid down and her fun was over for now. Until a customer used the facilities and it was game on again.

Let's just hope she doesn't figure out how to life the lid!

Some of you know this little story, but it's another of the misadventures of Purrl - a few weeks ago, I got a frantic call from Mr Knits. Seems he couldn't find his keys, it was 20 minutes until the store was supposed to open, I was 2 hours away, he was desperate....you get the idea. He'd been looking for the darned things for about an hour before he called me. I suggested looking in the basement - he said he already had. But he would look again, but to no avail. About 11 am - an hour after opening time - he remembered something I had told him. Purrl steals keys. She loves keys! She will grab my keys off my desk and run away with them. And then she likes to hide things. Near her litter box. Covered with whatever is close at hand. And there they were, in the box, covered with a piece of paper. What a little brat! But we love her. She is the cutest little thing. That is, when she's asleep.
