Gift Show - Day 1
Lynn and I arrived at the International Centre in Mississauga around 11:30 this morning, and by the time we were provided with our badges (I lost mine yesterday and Lynn's mysteriously disappeared sometime after we were in line getting mine) it was well after noon. We did start out with a plan to walk aisle by aisle and NOT. BUY. ANYTHING. At least for today. Tomorrow is the big buying day. However, the best laid plans and all that.
And we're going back tomorrow. Who knows what treasures we'll find. What fun!
We weren't on the showfloor 5 minutes when I found some cute little sock change purses that I had wanted to buy from one of my US suppliers, but they weren't available to Canadian retailers. I can get them from a Canadian supplier now!
Well, I had to have some of those. So much for not buying anything on the first day.
We weren't 50 feet away from the change purse place when all hell heck broke loose. There was the booth of my dreams. All sorts of lovely gifty things. At great prices. Red Hat Lady things, gorgeous outdoor torch things, rustic boxes in three different designs, welcome signs, pet things, picture frames, belts, necklaces (that would make fabulous purse handles - trust me on this one), bracelets, evening bags, copper and glass sculptures....two full pages of items. I really can't remember everything. I just kept saying "3 of these, and 6 of these, and what's the minimum on these?" Talk about throwing caution to the wind! The question of the night is "Where the heck am I going to put all this stuff?"
