Introducing Miss Purrl...

Thank you for all the name suggestions, we decided to go with Purrl - because she is always purring, it's a knitting term, and she's white. However, when she's in the music shop she is Minnie Pearl. Multifunctional name - perfect.

So, since we didn't use any of the suggested names, I put all the responders names in a draw, and the winner of the $25 gift certificate is Lee Vink from New Jersey. We had suggestions from all over Canada and the US. Thanks so much to everyone!

On a knitting note, here is the (almost) completed Big Brother Shawl. Purrl is investigating the softness and kneading properties while I am trying to photograph it on the floor.

So, here it is, on the dress form:

I like it - a lot. It needs the button loops attached, which will be done as soon as I find buttons I like. Once this mini heat wave is over here is South Eastern Ontario, I'm sure I will be wearing it frequently. Knitting the shawl was such a pleasure and I finished it with just two episodes of Big Brother left. In all I would estimate it took about 24 hours of easy knitting. I highly recommend this project.
