A new food group?
You know how I think my grandchildren are the cutest, smartest, most wonderful children on the face of this earth? Well, they are. They never fail to make me smile.
This evening I was speaking on the phone to my 4 year old grandson; we were discussing what we were each having for dinner - he had beef stew and I had spicy chicken and salad. He seemed quite happy with that. Then he wanted to know what I was having for dessert...I told him yogurt.
Apparently he found this quite funny. He laughed at that and told me I was silly because yogurt isn't dessert. I asked him what yogurt was if it wasn't dessert, and he promptly told me that "It's part of the cold food group".
I wonder how many servings Canada's Food Guide recommends we have a day. And is ice cream part of the cold food group? I certainly hope so.
