For the Cure

Recently I mentioned dyeing yarn in specific colours and donating a portion on the proceeds to various causes - here's the first two  lots all dyed and labelled.

And some has already been purchased! I don't think the yarn had been out in the shop half an hour when the first skein went home. I can't decide which yarn I like best.

The next dye lots will also have a cashmere blend sock yarn ($24 per skein) in addition to the superwash merino ($18 per skein). With any luck I will have the lime green for Lymphoma ready for this weekend. The free Pink Ribbons sock pattern is at the printers and will arrive any day now. It is also available for download at here.

If you can't make it into the shop, I'm offering free shipping on orders over $75 and we take Visa and Mastercard by phone.

As I was reviewing this post, and was trying to decide if the photo was the best one of the millions I took, I realized that you just don't see all the background stuff - this is the photo I originally used. Look at  scowly McScowlpants on the front of the Rowan magazine in the lower left hand side of the photo. Looks like she doesn't approve of something.

That brings to mind the photo that a guy put up on craigslist or ebay a few years ago of his dining room table that he had for sale. Apparently, he liked to take photos in the nude - you could see everything in his reflection on the mirror in the background. And, yes, it was definitely a "he".
